Overall it’s a clean and nice place. The atmosphere is fresh. The host and servers are nice and friendly. But the wait is super long. It takes at least 10 minutes for someone to come and take your to go order. After waiting 30 or so plus minutes for my food. I got the wrong order. Then when my order was fixed and my food came, it was cold. I spent a whole hour waiting for food here. I won’t recommend this Cracker Barrel to anyone.

I've eaten at this location several times while staying in Hampton or passing through. There is pretty much always a wait on weekends here and if you're coming with a large group it could be a while. The good news is they're quick with bringing out orders so the churn and burn rate is pretty high for table turnover. I also like that you can shop while you wait and be distracted, or sit on the porch in a rocking chair enjoying the breeze. Pick your poison! My favorite menu items are the blueberry pancakes with warmed blueberry syrup, fresh biscuits and gravy, the fried apples (YUM), and eggs and bacon. For dinner/lunch they also have some really delicious entree-sized salads that I enjoyed and their French fries are the big, thick steak house style so a side of those is amazing. Also, their sweet tea and on point! Delicious!

I always love Cracker barrel. We usually have a very friendly, helpful server. They have some cool things in the country store. I actually found a Game of Thrones cup I love and bought. Thankfully the fire wasn't going yet, because then its too hot!

Questions & Answers

My brother and I had lunch at the Hampton store and even though it was fairly crowded our service was prompt and the food came nice and hot.

As a server I would usually grab the coffee cup by the handle so it doesn't affect the customer with germs coming from your hands and I'd advise the staff to keep their hands clean daily like more than once as cross contaminant could cause problems here. To me I'd be funny about it too as I am with clean plates and silverware.good hygiene is important in the restaurant business and often times more than not this area gets neglected.but I'm glad you asked that question. Bc some areas citywide have news reports from the city health inspectors of restaurants in violation of the city health codes which gives the consumer insight on these problems and how to avoid them and also makes the restaurant owners more aware of these findings to do a better job in their restaurants thus giving their employees a sense of pride in their work environment. I know of such a city. Newark, Ohio. My old hometown. The Newark Advocate states it in their newspapers for locals. And online. excellent concept!!

It opened in Dec of 2004 or Jan 2005
